Memorex MLT3221 LCD HDTV Review

The MLT3221 is an entry-level 32-inch LCD HDTV. The TV doesn't come with many extras and didn't perform particularly well on our tests. The TV has an MSRP of $599.99, which is a bit too expensive for its performance. Fortunately, the TV can be found for about $200 less if you shop around.

Sylvania LD370SC8 LCD DVD HDTV Review

The Sylvania LD370SC8 is an inexpensive entry-level LCD HDTV. The set doesn't have great picture quality or audio, but it does have a DVD player. Unfortunately, even though it's inexpensive, its flaws outweigh its prive.

You can find the
Sylvania LD370SC8 for about $429.99.

Proscan 32LC30S60 and 37LC30S60 LCD HDTV Review

The Proscan 32LC30S60 is a budget television, with all the expected trade-offs standing in between you and the alluring price tag. This 720p LCD model has mediocre performance, at best, and is skimpy on ports. But at approx. $379, it might suffice for the bedroom, guest room, or for the kids (assuming your kids aren't TV reviewers).

During the holiday season, our in-boxes are flooded with questions, like, "What is the difference between 120Hz and 240Hz, or 1080p and 1080i?" or "How many contrast ratios does the TV have each refresh rate?" Sure, some of these questions are nonsensical, but the world of HDTVs is a confusing one, so we don't blame you, reader.
