Plenty of ports for newer devices
Good viewing angle
Generally bad blacks & whites
Major color issues
Introduction
The JVC LT-42E910 is an LED-backlit LCD television listed at $1199 MSRP (sold for much cheaper from several major retailers). This is about as entry-level as televisions get, with no internet, 3D, or much in the way of connectible media. The LT-42E910 has an excellent viewing angle for an LCD television and a good amount of analog and HDMI ports but it scored poorly across the board on our standard tests. You are not going to get supreme picture quality out of this JVC.

Motion
There are video settings that help with motion processing, but the LT-42E910 is not a top-performer in this category. With 2% overscan in its native resolution, it would have been hard to have good results here. Read More... |

Audio & Menus
Reasonable speakers for a television, we still recommend some type of external setup. The menu interface was borrowed from a simpler (not better) time. Read More... |
