Introduction
The JVC LT-42P300 is part of JVC's new lineup of iPod/iPhone dock equipped LCD televisions. Sporting a full 1080p resolution the LT-42P300 has an improved interface for managing music and video from your iPod/iPhone. It also has an integrated USB port for viewing photos.

Section The Good The Bad
Tour & Design Integrated iPod/iPhone dock. Some may not like the glowing blue lights.
Blacks & Whites Good peak brightness. Poor black level and dynamic backlight you can't turn off.
Color Accuracy Rock solid color temperature. Peaking in color curves can lead to loss of detail.
Motion Not much. Significant motion blurring and artifacting.
Viewing Effects Decent viewing angle. Reflected light can cause serious glare.
Remote Control Lots of buttons. Poor balance, large and ungainly.
Audio Very good audio quality. Poor simulated surround sound.
Connectivity 3 HDMI ports. Poor placement of ports.
Menus & Interface Easy to learn and use. Translucency can cause problems.
Formats & Media Full 1080p resolution. Poor photo viewing interface.
Power Consumption Above average annual operating cost. Not much.
