Outstanding RGB color curves
Good overall motion performance
Wide viewing angle
Terrible screen uniformity and weak black level performance
Introduction
The LG 55LE5400 ($2699) seems expensive, but that’s an awful lot of screen for the money. The color performance on this 55-inch LED-backlit TV is outstanding, among the best we’ve seen in some time. Conversely, the black level is terrible, even for an LCD display. Overall, there’s a lot to like about this TV, and the benefits greatly outweigh its deficiencies.
Editorial Note: This is a review of the LG 55LE5400. Test results are for this model, but should indicate the general performance of other sizes in the xxLE5400 series. The xxLE5400 series includes the following models: 32LE5400, 42LE5400, 47LE5400 and 55LE5400. Read here for more details on series differences.

Samsung UN32D5500 LED LCD HDTV Review
The D5500 has a rather high MSRP of $699, considering it’s only a 32-inch TV. There are some “premiums upgrades,” a term we use with some dubiousness, knowing that these features can be far less valuable than they appear. Nevertheless, at its core this is a good television. If you can find it a significantly reduced price it would make a great addition to a home theater. Read More...
