Conclusion

LG 37LH55

The LG 37LH55 looks to be priced a little out of its class. There are several larger sets available for less money that are comparable or offer better picture quality. The 37LH55 is capable of a 240Hz refresh rate, which is a nice feature, but the majority of people will be just fine with a 120Hz set.

Just because there's stiff competition doesn't mean the TV is bad, however. Its main flaws are a narrow viewing angle and a poor contrast ratio. It has good color representation for an LCD in its class, and its 240Hz mode does help lessen its tendency to blur moving images. It doesn't suffer from noticeable artifacting, unless you leave 240Hz mode on when trying to display 24 fps content.

While the LG 37LH55 isn't a bad option, it isn't the best one. The Samsung LN40B650 beat it in virtually every category, and the Toshiba Regza 40XV645U is a comparable budget option.
