Good shadow detail
Strong color performance
Terrible black level
Few connectivity options
Introduction
The LG 47LD4500 ($999 MSRP) is big-sized LCD that’s priced just a little too aggressively, considering its lack of features and weak contrast ratio. Sure, the color performance is out of this world, but we’re not sure that’s enough for most people.
Editorial Note: This is a review of the LG 47LD4500. Test results are for this model, but should indicate the general performance of other sizes in the xxLD4500 series. The xxLD4500 series includes the following models: 32LD4500, 37LD4500, 42LD4500 and 47LD4500. Read here for more details on series differences.
