The 55LH85 is a 1080p LCD TV from LG that incorporates a wireless transmission system from a separate media box, utilizing the same media box as the higher-end LG 55LHX. It is thus capable of receiving a full HD 1080p signal at ranges up to 30 feet. It appears LG is marketing the 55LH85 as the more affordable option for an LCD HDTV with wireless media transmission, as the TV doesn't offer some of the other impressive features (like an improved 240Hz refresh rate or LED backlighting) that are present on the LG 55LHX. The wireless media box is the only thing that really makes the 55LH85 stand out. Price specs and availability dates have not yet been released.

The D5500 has a rather high MSRP of $699, considering it’s only a 32-inch TV. There are some “premiums upgrades,” a term we use with some dubiousness, knowing that these features can be far less valuable than they appear. Nevertheless, at its core this is a good television.
