LG 55LH90 LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The LG 55LH90 is a 55-inch LCD television with an LED backlight display that will be available during the second Quarter of 2009. The HDTV features a bolstered 240Hz refresh rate (up from 120Hz on the 2008 models), which should result in improved motion during scenes with oodles of action or fast moving objects. The television's LED backlight is also being touted as a "full array" backlight that breaks the screen into 240 individual sections in order to maximize its capabilities. The 55LH90 offers 1080p format support, and has a thin, streamlined design. The LH90 series also comes in 47-inch and 42-inch models. Pricing for the series has not been released.
