Introduction
Editorial Note: This is a review of the Memorex MLT3221. Test results are for this model, but should indicate the general performance of other sizes in the MLT series. The MLT series includes the following models: MLT1921, MLT2221, MLT2621.  Read here for more details on series differences.
The MLT3221 is an entry-level 32-inch LCD HDTV. The TV doesn't come with many extras and didn't perform particularly well on our tests. The TV has an MSRP of $599.99, which is a bit too expensive for its performance. Fortunately, the TV can be found for about $200 less if you shop around.

Section The Good The Bad
Tour & Design Seems sturdy. Not the most attractive set.
Blacks & Whites Bright. Consistent blacks and whites. High black level, poor format scaling.
Color Accuracy Decent RGB representation. Color temperature wanders to cool.
Motion None. Issues with motion blur and artifacting.
Viewing Effects Decent viewing angle for an LCD, screen isn't reflective. None.
Remote Control Decent size/shape. Buttons have good travel and play. Plasticky feel.
Connectivity Ports well labeled. Ports placed out of the way
Audio & Menus Intuitive menu. Poor audio quality.
Formats & Media 720p. No media features.
Power Consumption Only costs $27 per year. $27 per year is a lot for an LCD.
