Introduction

The Panasonic TC-P42X3 ($599 MSRP) is an entry-level 720p plasma screen that performs fairly well for what it is. It won’t dazzle anyone, but despite its below-average color performance the TC-P42X3 isn’t a bad buy.

Editorial Note: This is a review of the Panasonic Viera TC-P42X3. Test results are for this model, but should indicate the general performance of other sizes in the TC-PxxX3 series. The TC-PxxX3 series includes the following models: TC-P42X3, TC-P46X3 and TC-P50X3. Read here for more details on series differences.
