August 28, 2008Panasonic unveils disconcertingly large plasma
Panasonic unveiled a fairly imposing 150-inch plasma TV at IFA. It seems TVs are growing out of control lately, to the extent where we simply wouldn't want one of these in our house for fear of death by crushing. Besides being capable of fatally injuring those around it, this TV has a 2,160 X 4,096-pixel Advanced HD display, which is four times 1080p. We're guessing it will use its superior resolution to entrance its victims prior to the crushing. What's worse, this death trap is set to be mass-produced in May 2009. [Via Gizmodo]

Samsung UN32D5500 LED LCD HDTV Review
The D5500 has a rather high MSRP of $699, considering it’s only a 32-inch TV. There are some “premiums upgrades,” a term we use with some dubiousness, knowing that these features can be far less valuable than they appear. Nevertheless, at its core this is a good television.
