August 29, 2008Samsung's TV Makes Sony's feel fat
Samsung, the masters of irony that they are, have given their crazy-thin LCD the longest possible name: the Samsung Ultraslim LCD TV All-In-One 1. This TV is 1-inch thick at its widest point. Although the Sony KDL-40ZX1 is 9.9mm thin at some places, it has a thick box towards its bottom, making Samsung's TV thinner overall. Samsung seems to have taken a cue from Apple's iPhone aesthetic, as the back of the TV features a curved taper, and comes in either black or white coloration. The result: a very pretty TV. We think the Samsung Ultraslim LCD TV All-In-One 1 will create an unfair standard of beauty in the television industry, which will most likely lead to many other TVs developing body image issues.

If you can find it a significantly reduced price it would make a great addition to a home theater. Read More...
