Samsung LN40B610

At $1150, the LN40B610 is not the cheapest 40-inch 1080p HDTV out there, but it is a good example of how spending a bit more can get you a significant jump in peformance. There are lots of 40-inch models out there at the $700 to $900 price point, but the LN40B610 has significantly better performance than most of them, especially in the critical area of rendering motion. So, if your budget is big enough to encompass it, the LN40B610 is a good pick for the price.
