The 6 Series is the lowest, both in terms of pricing and features, of the three new LED backlit model ranges that Samsung announced at the CES show in January. While it has the same LED backlight as its more expensive cousins in the Series 7 and Series 8 range (such as the LN55B8000 and the LN55B7000), it is missing the 240Hz motion processing of the Series 8 models; this one has only 120Hz motion processing. All of the models in this and the other LED ranges are being promoted under the Luxia brand, and there are three models in the 6 series: the 55-inch UN55B6000 which we looked at, the 46-inch LN46B6000 and the 40-inch LN40B6000. All of these models are due to be available in the summer, but no pricing information has yet been released. We looked at a pre-production unit of the UN55B6000 at the CES show.
