Introduction
The Samsung PN50B430 is an entry-level plasma. It's a 720p display stretched over 50-inches of screen. While the PN50B430 lacks the feature set of a higher-end set, it remains a 50-inch TV for about $900. If you're on a budget and looking for a big TV, the PN50B430 might be a good choice.

Section The Good The Bad
Tour & Design Clean, simple design. Large and heavy.
Blacks & Whites Great greyscale gamma. Poor contrast ratio, shallow blacks for a plasma.
Color Accuracy Solid color temperature. Issues with color accuracy.
Motion Not a lot of blurring. Lots of artifacting.
Viewing Effects Impressive viewing angle. Screen is ridiculously reflective.
Remote Control Great layout and design. A bit large.
Connectivity Swiveling stand provides easy access. Limited selection of ports.
Audio & Menus Decent sound at a decent volume. Menus are a bit laggy.
Formats & Media N/A No additional media options.
Power Consumption Not expensive for a plasma. Plasmas cost more per year than LCDs.
