Samsung PN58B550 Plasma HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The PN58B550 is a member of Samsung's 5 series of plasma HDTVs, which are near the bottom end of Samsung's 2009 range of plasmas, both in terms of features and price. Based around the same plasma panel as last year's model, this 58-incher is also missing some of the features that Samsung are pushing in their higher end models, including the ability to play videos from USB devices and the Widget-based features for accessing Internet information on the device. But it does share the same stylish look as the other new models, so if these aren't things that you're going to miss, the PN58B550 might be worth a look. There is also a 40-inch model available.
