Introduction

The UN40EH6000 ($779.99 MSRP) is a basic television from Samsung's 2012 line. Unlike most of the larger Samsung televisions we will see this year, the 6000 series has no internet features, 3D images, or smart control functions like voice and motion commands. No, this is a television for those feature weary consumers who feel beaten down by continually added new and flashy functions that really have nothing to do with a quality picture. We noticed some definite improvements over last year's 6000 series. This TV has some excellent black and white detail, some good, but not great, color accuracy, high resolution, and a sleek design, without all the other nonsense.
