Conclusion

Samsung UN46B7000

The Samsung UN46B7000 is part of the mid-level range of Samsung LED backlit LCD televisions. LED backlights offers a significant power savings over traditional LCD technology, and on the UN46B7000 this is made even more efficient by the use of edge lighting instead of a standard array behind the display. With a price tag of $3,000 the Samsung UN46B7000 is not an HDTV for those looking for a bargain. Those $3,000 do buy you an attractive design and 1.25-inch thin profile, however, as well as a good selection of advanced features like USB ports, internet connectivity and 120Hz refresh rate. Whether the whole package comes together to justify the price is something we won't be able to tell you for sure until we get the HDTV into our labs and find out how it performs in our tests.
