The LC-52BD80U is a 52-inch LCD with a built-in Blu-ray player. Sharp debuted the combo television this year at CES, and is the natural upgrade to older dvd combo televisions. One thing we're very pleased with is Sharp's decision to put the player on the back of the device, facing the side. While this might not be the best look for aesthetics, it does feel very natural, more so than the old "TV sitting on the VHS/DVD player" style that required users to hunch over. The LC-52BD80U will be available in February, along with the 46-inch version. Smaller sizes – 42, 37, and 32 inches – will be available later this month. No price points have been announced yet.
