Introduction
The Sony KDL-55EX720 ($2399 MSRP) is an LED-edgelit LCD capable of 3D display. These second-gen 3D TVs are finally coming down in price, but we’re still not sold on the whole headache & eyestrain thing. That said, this TV has a great core performance and outstanding streaming content, which might be enough to sway you.
Editorial Note: This is a review of the Sony Bravia KDL-55EX720. Test results are for this model, but should indicate the general performance of other sizes in the KDL-xxEX720 series. The KDL-xxEX720 series includes the following models: KDL-32EX720, KDL-40EX720, KDL-46EX720, KDL-55EX720 and KDL-60EX720. Read here for more details on series differences.
