Sony XBR-55HX929 3D LCD HDTV First Impressions Review

$3,799.00

Sony's new 3D LED flagship has built-in WiFi, but lacks the sort of innovation we're used to at CES.

Introduction

The XBR-55HX929 is Sony's new 3D LED flagship, which comes with built-in WiFi. The TV should be available in April, although a price point hasn't been announced yet. There isn't much about this TV that's really revolutionary. The best we can tell it's just a general upgrade over last years' models, offering slightly better picture quality and 3D performance. Instead, Sony seems to be going for the "bigger is better" route, instead adding a 65-inch model to the line-up. The other feature Sony was pushing was Qriocity, which is Sony's proprietary answer to content providers like Hulu and Vudu.
