Sony has just announced a new wireless LED HDTV: the XBR10. This new flagship model in their XBR range is available in 46 and 52 inch sizes, and includes a wireless setup that can send a full 1080p signal from a remote receiver to the display itself. The remote receiver also includes  HDMI, component and composite video inputs, as well as an over the air antenna input.

The new display uses an LED backlight, with the LEDs on the edge of the screen. Edge LED lighting means that the display can't perform local dimming, where sections of the screen are dimmed to produce a darker black. The new models in the KDL-XBR10 range will also include 240Hz motion processing and an Ethernet connection that can run Yahoo Widgets, as well as supporting Netflix streaming content. They are also Full HD models that can display every pixel of a 1080p signal. The 46 inch model will cost about $4600, and the 52 inch size will cost abut $5000. Both will be available in October, and we'll be taking a closer look a a sample unit soon.
