Introduction
The VIZIO E3D420VX offers streaming internet video and passive 3D imaging at an incredible price of $729 (MSRP). But is it any good? Is this one of those situations where you pay just enough to get a stripped-down version of a technology, when you should have spent a little more to get what you really wanted? We say this VIZIO is worth considering. After testing, we found that the E3D420VX was more than just a gimmick to get people to buy TVs, showing numbers that meant some serious visual quality for the price point.
Editorial Note: This is a review of the VIZIO E3D420VX. Test results are for this model, but should indicate the general performance of other sizes in the E3DxxxVX series. The E3DxxxVX series includes the following models: E3D320VX and E3D420VX. Read here for more details on series differences.
