Vizio SV471XVT LCD HDTV First Impressions Review - Intro

The SV471XVT is an update to the SV470XVT, our top rated HDTV. This means that it has a big set of shoes to fill, and there are a number of updates that Vizio hopes will make this 47-inch LCD HDTV as popular in 2009 as the SV470XVT was in 2008. For one, there's an increase in the motion processing speed from 120Hz to 240Hz, and a few design tweaks. The SV471XVT will be available in the summer with an estimated street price of $1399. A 42 inch version (the SV421XVT) will also be available at the same time for $1099.

Note: Later this year we discovered that in addition to the SV471XVT with Vizio will also be releasing an SV472XVT that includes internet connectivity via ethernet or built-in Wi-Fi. This includes access to Yahoo widgets, Amazon on-demand and Netflix services.
